Blog
My blog post are about thinking–that is, an examination of our thinking process, it’s structure, development (good or bad) and how it basically controls everything we think, do, and feel. And if we learn how it works, and how to control it, how we can change our lives.
Two themes arise frequently–ignorance and stupidity. In our modern era, social media has created the platform for anyone qualified or unqualified, to widely disseminate vast amounts of false information. Coupled with people’s lack of ability to think critically (reflective analysis), and instead assume, has lead to very negative and degrading effects on quality of life; family, society, and culture.
The themes of stupidity and ignorance are not explored to insult or demean, but rather from the sense of their true meaning; to understand when a narrative is formed from a place sheer stupidity or blissful ignorance. In doing so, I hope to encourage a positive approach of curiosity towards information absorption, instead of a negative approach of judgement (assumption), or blind faith.
My articles will also address and question claims/treatments/therapies made by coaches and other industry individuals. During the last roughly 10 years, schools appeared to have jumped on the “coach” phenomena, seemingly as a means for raking in more money as they churn out graduates of one-year (yes, 12-month) coaching programs. The problem now exists with many under educated and/or under experienced individuals making claims about mental health practices that are simply false, and greatly overstepping their scope of practice. Therefore, I will introduce these claims and then proceed to explain why they are misleading or outright false.
